Bouquet Preservation FAQ: Timing, Frame Sizes, Shipping, and What to Expect
Updated: Aug 1

We know flower preservation can feel unfamiliar, especially when the flowers are deeply meaningful. These answers explain what to expect before you reserve your frame.
How soon should we receive your flowers?
Flowers should be dropped off or shipped as soon as possible after the event, ideally within 2 to 5 days and no later than 7 days. Keep the stems in clean water and the bouquet in a cool place while you wait.
Do you preserve the entire bouquet?
We press the flowers and greenery that are suitable for preservation and that fit the frame you select. The finished piece may include a full bouquet or a smaller selection, depending on flower size, variety, condition, and the space available. Unused flowers are not preserved or returned.
How many flowers fit in a frame?
The 8x8 is designed for approximately 3 to 5 flowers, and the 8x10 is also a Few Blooms size. Larger wood and soldered frames provide more room, but no size guarantees that every flower will be included. Roses are pressed petal by petal and reconstructed, so one fresh rose may create approximately three preserved roses.
Will the pressed flowers keep their original color?
Flowers are natural materials and may become lighter, darker, more transparent, or softer in color during pressing. Color correction helps us create a balanced result, but natural variation is part of every piece.
How long does bouquet preservation take?
Flowers generally require 8 to 12 weeks to press. Most framed orders are completed within approximately 10 to 14 weeks after we receive the flowers and signed contract. Timing may vary during peak wedding season.
Will we send you a design preview?
We send a photo for review as part of the normal design process. The number of revisions and any size specific details are explained in the product listing and preservation contract.
Can you accept a last minute bouquet or memorial arrangement?
Last minute wedding and memorial flower requests may be accepted when studio availability allows. Contact us as soon as possible because freshness affects which flowers remain suitable for preservation.
Do you offer local drop off and nationwide shipping?
Yes. Local drop off is available by appointment at Pressed Petals Studio, 24 Winter Street in Reno, Nevada. We also accept flowers shipped from throughout the United States. Clients are responsible for sending the bouquet and for insured return shipping, which includes a $25 handling fee.
When should you reserve?
Reserve before the event whenever possible so space is available in our monthly schedule. If your event has already happened, contact us immediately and keep the flowers hydrated and cool.
How do you get started?
Choose the frame size that best matches your flowers and preferred display, then place your order. We will send the preservation contract and local drop off or shipping instructions. Visit https://www.pressedpetalstudio.com or email contact@pressedpetalstudio.com for current availability.
