Flowers from a memorial service often carry more meaning than anyone can explain in the moment. They may have been chosen because they were a loved one’s favorite, sent by family members, or placed beside photographs and personal belongings during a service.

Pressed flower preservation offers a way to keep part of that arrangement and transform it into artwork that can remain with the family.

Contact a preservation studio quickly

Memorial requests are often unexpected, so advance reservations are not always possible. Contact us as soon as you know you may want the flowers preserved. Last minute memorial requests may be accepted based on studio availability.

Keep the stems in clean water and store the flowers in a cool place. Flowers should ideally be delivered or shipped within 2 to 5 days and no later than 7 days.

You do not need to preserve the entire arrangement

A few meaningful blooms can be enough to create a personal piece. Smaller frames are appropriate for selected flowers, while larger frames provide room for more varieties, greenery, and layered details.

We select the flowers that are in suitable condition and that create the strongest design within the chosen frame. The size selected does not guarantee that every flower will be preserved.

Choosing flowers with personal meaning

Families often choose a favorite rose, a flower from a child or grandchild, greenery from the main arrangement, or blooms that reflect a loved one’s favorite color. If several people would like keepsakes, smaller companion pieces may be considered when enough usable material is available.

What changes during pressing?

Flowers are natural materials and may become lighter, darker, more transparent, or softer in color. Roses are pressed petal by petal and reconstructed. One fresh rose may provide enough petals to create approximately three preserved roses.

How long does the process take?

Flowers generally require 8 to 12 weeks to press. Most framed preservation orders are completed within approximately 10 to 14 weeks after the flowers and signed contract are received.
